Sustainable Fertilizers for Farming

One of Shree Ram Krushna Trust's main priorities is cow-based natural agriculture. We have been involved with natural farming along with research since 2001. We grow vegetables, oilseeds, cereals, spices, and more in 100 acres of land. We think that in order for farming to succeed, we need to bring back the traditional farming practices that have been used for thousands of years. The use of chemicals by many farmers today reduces the soil and lowers output. By using cow-based fertilizers made from cow dung, urine, buttermilk, ash, and plants, we hope to help farmers in going back to natural farming methods. To prove the value of these techniques, we also test and record them. As part of "Dharti Putra Yojana" we help local farmers test natural farming on small land areas. Shree Ram Krushna Trust has been organizing a three-day training camp on "Desi Cow-based Natural Farming" since 2011. So far 101 such camps have been held. We provide training to support farmers in implementing sustainable methods and growing healthy, chemical free crops. By combining traditional knowledge with modern practices, we’re working to create a sustainable farming model that benefits both farmers and the environment.
